In the early 1970’s John began his career in film as a music composer and audio engineer. In 1985 he began writing and producing his own documentaries. In 1988 he formed Creative Adventures, a film and video production company. Since then John as produced over forty documentary films and videos. During the 1980’s his awards included three time winner of the Media and Methods Magazine Award for Best Educational Documentaries. In addition to his work in film John also served as composer for three original musicals, “Atomic Diner” and “The Great Northern” and “Christmas Carole”
Presently the majority of his work is distributed worldwide by Discovery Communications. In 2000 John directed and scored the dramatic feature length film. “Harrington’s Notes.” Which won Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2000 Big Bear Lake International Film Festival. In 2015 John completed his most recent feature length documentary titled. “Defying Extinction: The Story of the California Condor”
